The teacher uses a variety of communication techniques to foster learning and communication skills.



     For standard VI, I have included a slideshow concerning Centerpoint Alternative High School. I believe this show my skills with working with technology, and my comfort with presenting new ideas in front of a large group. I am able to work with PowerPoint, and other forms of lecture, along with additional tools, such as videos and informative information, via interviews. I think that this presentation show the willingness that I have to adapt my style of teaching to each class I come into contact with. I think this is very important because all students learn in different ways, and in order to be a proficient teacher, I need to be able to adapt my lessons to suit my audience. This is also representative of my abilities to communicate professionally with others. For this particular assignment, it was my responsibility to contact the school and arrange meeting times, as well as explaining what our group was hoping to learn and gain from this whole experience.
