Standard IV:

Multiple Instructional Strategies

The teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to develop student learning.

Standard four focuses on the need for teachers to have a variety of options and methods for presenting the necessary material in an interesting and informative manner to their students. I included a representative of the strategies binder I created in an education class. This binder is composed of 50 different strategies that will prove to be an invaluable resource once I become a teacher. By having so many various teaching strategies, I will be able to better develop my own “flavor” of teaching, while building my own lessons off of the main points of the different strategies. It will also prove beneficial to me as I discover which specific strategies work best for me, and which ones will need further adaption to suit my purposes.
